Data-based technologies in the food sector offer great potential improving our diets, making people more conscious of the environmental and health impacts of their food choices, and enhancing traceability across the food supply chain. However, with these benefits come concerns about data misuse and privacy violations, urging the need for legislative action at the EU level. So, how can we protect consumers while still fostering technological innovation? DRG4FOOD is ready to share its vision! On the last workshop, the project will present policy recommendations in areas like food traceability, targeted nutrition technologies, and increasing consumer awareness. The focus will be on creating a trustworthy environment where consumers can confidently share their data, and companies can continue innovating.
